Each year Foster Friends likes to recognize one Outstanding Volunteer in our community that not only assists our non-profit but who also strives to be a community advocate.
This year, it is our sincere honor to recognize Angel Whitaker as our Foster Friends Volunteer of the Year!
Her involvement began several years ago when she attended one of our fundraising events at CycleBar. She inquired about our non-profit after the class, and immediately began devoting her time and talents to helping the foster children in Acadiana! Now, as owner of IM=X Pilates & Fitness, she sponsors various events for Foster Friends and continues to volunteer her time throughout the year.
Angel has dedicated countless hours at Christmas time—from gift wrapping to event planning and day-of preparations. She has a positive attitude in everything she does and tackles any obstacle with joy and purpose in her heart.
Angel has been lead volunteer for our Annual Recruitment Event for the past two years. She continues to make it bigger and better each year, and remains focused on connecting the community with the children who are in need of adoption.
Angel has a caring heart and a passion for helping children! She is an inspiration to others in our community, and we would like to take the time to recognize all that she has done! We are extremely grateful for her efforts and contributions to Foster Friends over the years.
Thank you, Angel, for being such an Outstanding Volunteer!
