Lafayette’s First Mass Adoption

Foster Friends was honored to be able to participate in our community’s first ever, Mass Adoption Ceremony and Celebration. The event was held this morning at The Evangeline Room on Guilbeau Road in Lafayette.

(11) families got to adopt a child (or two) and a permanently add them to their family. There were groups of extended family and friends who came to show support and congratulate them on the expansion of their family. Some of the families had shirts made to celebrate this special day. Buttons were giving to each child to recognize their adoption day!

We are so grateful to the Foster Friends volunteers who made baked goods, snacks, punch, etc. for this wonderful event. We are also extremely for the use of the facility (The Evangeline Room) as well as the Nothing Bundt Cakes that were donated.

Our greatest mission is to raise awareness for the need of foster/ adoptive parents, and this event brought joy to our hearts. Each of the children adopted today have been lifted out of the foster care program and into the loving arms of a forever homes.
